Brightly colored sarees, children on cell-phones in the streets, fresh country air gliding over vibrant landscapes and through cool stone passageways of palace ruins; this is India. We invite you to journey on a wellness pilgrimage that will bring you up close with thousands of years of cultural traditions and the places and people who make this land so unique. 

Your 12-day / 11-night journey through India follows our uniquely crafted wellness path, starting in the thriving metropolis of Delhi along with a visit to Agra by train to experience the majesty of the Taj Mahal. Traveling on to the spiritual heart of Varanasi on a pilgrimage to understand the spiritual significance of the Ganges River and the cycle of life through ancient rituals, it is here we will also have the opportunity to participate in Diwali – the annual festival of lights that entrances the country. Your trip will end outside the cultural capital of Kolkata surrounded by nature and space, allowing the pilgrimage journey to sink in. 

Co-hosted by Lena Franklin, Mindfulness-based Psychotherapist, along with best-selling author and Pravassa founder, Linden Schaffer, we invite you to deepen your own spiritual journey as we travel through the birthplace of meditation and yoga, stand on the site of Buddha's first sermon, absorb ancient enlightenment and uncover spiritual awakenings around every corner.

Trip Itinerary

November 3rd | Agra
We will rise early and leave the hotel, bound for a day trip to Agra and the Taj Mahal. With boxed breakfasts in hand, we will board the air-conditioned train and travel in comfort for the 180-mile trip to Agra. Upon arrival at the Taj Mahal we will have the Pravassa-exclusive opportunity to sit for a guided meditation on the lawn of this majestic palace. Following meditation we will explore this great wonder of the world built from enormous slabs of marble over 22 years of construction. The Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle and you will have ample time to view and be mesmerized by this piece of architecture.

November 4th | Varanasi
Feeling spiritually charged from our morning wellness session; enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we embark via group transfer to the airport for our short local flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival we will be ferried to our hotel via boat along the famed Ganges River – a vital part of Indian culture, history and spirituality. Lunch will be served and you’ll have the opportunity to refresh before the evening’s activities. At sunset we’ll board wooden boats and float along the Ganges to join in the Arti Puja, a sacred evening ritual and fire ceremony performed by local Priests. Watch in awe as brass lamps swing and mantras are carried across the tranquil water. A vegetarian wellness dinner will be served at the hotel upon our return.
