As Pravassa's founder, I've been leading travelers around the world on wellness tours since 2009. While working in the stressful environments of advertising and finance, I started a yoga practice that benefitted my mind as much as my body. In 2005 I received my 200-Hour yoga teacher certification and began to set aside time for my practice wherever I was in the world and found I was able to more fully experience places like Nepal, Cambodia, South Africa and Australia. Originally from Siena, Italy, Sangeeta Laura Biagi is a Visiting Professor in the Italian Studies Department at Vassar College. She has been guiding cultural and spiritual tours in Italy since 2004. Her research is in the fields of Contemplative Studies, Performance Studies, and Italian Studies. Sangeeta has been the recipient, since 2010, of the Carolyn Grant Endowment at Vassar College, to bring contemplative practices to academia and is an active member of the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education.
Offering the ancient practices of mindfulness and meditation utilizing a fresh, modern voice is the essence of Lena’s work. While attending Johnson & Wales University, Melissa had the opportunity to work for The Governor’s House Inn and at Cooking Light magazine in the test kitchen.
Moses Brown is a Certified Yoga Teacher who has been teaching throughout Maryland since 1991. He also leads Yoga Teacher Trainings and Yoga Immersion Programs where his teachings create an approach that is physically dynamic, mentally stimulating, and therapeutic. Moses brings focus, concentration, and mindfulness to his classes, weaving them together with playfulness, joy and FUN!
Sarah Anne brings her down-to-earth ‘wellness’ wisdom all the way from the Midwest. When her father cured cancer with alternative medicine, the experience sparked a light inside of her that was never put out.
